About CsuriVision.com
For the past few years, CsuriVision.com and Csuri.com
have both pointed to a single site dedicated exclusively to the digital art of computer graphics pioneer,
Charles (Chuck) Csuri. During that time, Chuck and I have given a lot of thought to the site's purpose
and form. While originally intended as an on-line collection of Chuck's work,
this was a function increasingly being fulfilled by
The Charles Csuri Archive, under development by
The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design
at the Ohio State University.
It became increasingly clear that what was needed was a
channel through which Chuck could share, in a timely fashion, the latest results of his
explorations in digital art and animation, and for this we have turned
Csuri.com into a blog. We're putting the blog up this weekend and will be tweeking and adding functionality
while we learn the blogging software.
So what is going to happen to CsuriVision.com? The good news is that we're not sure yet!
That's because the site's evolution will be inspired and informed by Chuck's research
directions as well as developments in the larger world of art and new media. If we do
this right, we'll never be sure exactly where the site is going to go. We're just sure
we want it to be interesting and fun, so stay tuned.
