    Digital Art by Charles Csuri

When I was young I thought the paintings of Grant Wood were terrible. They were sentimental and slight. Today, the work is not too bad, as an interesting view of early Americana. Picasso’s Guernica was fabulous. Now, its not nearly as good. Too theatrical and not a real statement about war. Picasso kept the focus on himself instead of war. Goya’s painting of the Firing Squad is much better. It’s more direct and comes
closer to the war I experienced. I see installation computer art as entertainment. Maybe next year I will see it as art. Or, Damien Hirst’s zebra posed in formaldehyde is greater than Goya’s Firing Squad. Most importantly, will I still like the above picture?
